Newton Faulkner is a singer songwriter who was looking to reinvent himself in early 2015 to herald the release of his album Human Love. His previous look was beginning to feel dated, and he needed a recognisable brand mark to take him into the next stage of his career.
When I was brought in to create the branding and art direction for the artist it was important that the design marked an entirely new direction. The approach was to produce a darker, more serious look and feel, and a brand that would be instantly recognisable across every touchpoint from a digital download icon to a drum skin for live shows.
